Young people’s volunteering experiences become stronger and more lasting when they are able to take responsibility, develop ideas, and participate in decision-making processes. Trust, delegation of authority, and a sense of belonging are among the key elements that transform young people from task-based participants into active actors who truly take ownership of the process.

Eyüp Coşkun, Chairperson of Genç Gönüllüler Association, will discuss young people’s journey from volunteering to civic participation through school-based collaborations and volunteer networks led by high school students.

The webinar will explore how young people can actively participate in idea development and implementation processes, as well as the mechanisms that help them feel valued and important within a team. It will also address the development of school-based volunteer networks and peer-based continuity models that allow volunteer experience to be transferred to younger students after graduation.
