The Maia City Council and the Maia Volunteer Centre – Compromissum, are pleased to invite you to participate in the 1st Maia Volunteer Fair, which will take place on 25 and 26 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Quinta dos Cónegos, Maia, Portugal, as part of Maia – European Volunteering Capital 2026.

Organised by the Maia City Council, with the support of the Centre for European Volunteering (CEV), the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) and the Portuguese Confederation for Volunteering (CPV), this event will be dedicated exclusively to national and international volunteering, providing a unique platform for networking, knowledge sharing, capacity building and the promotion of active citizenship.

Throughout the two-day event, visitors will enjoy a diverse programme including:

• A Volunteer Exhibition featuring around 200 volunteer-involving organisations, Local Volunteer Centres, NGOs and other organisations connected to the volunteering sector;
• Workshops and hands-on activities dedicated to volunteering;
• Talks delivered by national experts;
• Book presentations by their authors;
• Live music and entertainment;
• Sports and wellbeing activities;
• A pet adoption area;
• A food court and other activities for all ages.

The Volunteer Exhibition will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase your organisation's mission, present your projects and volunteering opportunities, establish new partnerships and strengthen collaborative networks.

Participation is free of charge. Each exhibiting organisation will be provided with an exhibition stand, including a table, canopy and two chairs.
