The International Volunteer Year Ceremony reaffirmed the Korea’s commitment to advancing volunteerism as a vital force for sustainable development and social solidarity.
The ceremony featured the official proclamation of the slogan, “K-Volunteerism: A Resonance That Fills the World with Melody” (K-봉사의 울림, 세계를 채우는 선율), the appointment ceremony for the Korea Committee for Volunteers, and the introduction of the “10 Local Government Volunteer Theme Relay,” scheduled to take place from April to June 2026. These initiatives collectively aimed to inspire broader participation, and promote sustainable society.
