bbb Open House – Celebrating the 2026 International Year for Volunteers
bbb Korea hosted an Open House on 11 February 2026 to commemorate the 2026 International Year for Volunteers (IVY) and reaffirm the value of volunteerism as a driving force for inclusion and sustainable development.
bbb Korea provides free interpretation services through volunteer interpreters to support foreign residents and visitors who face language barriers in Korea. While interpretation is the direct service, volunteerism is the true engine behind its impact.
The Open House was designed to strengthen volunteers’ sense of pride and belonging while connecting local volunteer action to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
