Bolivia has taken a significant step in advancing its engagement with the International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026 by officially designating a national focal point to coordinate efforts across the country.

Through an official communication issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the First Lady has been appointed to serve as Bolivia’s focal point for IVY 2026. The designation highlights the country’s commitment to strengthening volunteerism as a driver of social development, community resilience, and civic participation.

As the focal point, the First Lady’s Office will lead coordination efforts with national institutions, civil society organizations, and international partners to promote volunteer initiatives aligned with the global IVY 2026 agenda.
