The conference will take place on 24–25 November 2025 in Skopje, organised by the Association for Sport and Volunteering (ASV) and the Institute for Good Governance and Euro-Atlantic Perspectives (IDUEP), with support from the Centre for European Volunteering (CEV) and the Confederation of European Senior Expert Services (CESES).

The event will bring together governments, civil society, the private sector, and academia to promote inclusive volunteering, with a focus on senior volunteers aged 50+. Their knowledge and experience are key to strengthening intergenerational collaboration, fairness, and solidarity across the region.

Taking place in the context of the UN’s proclamation of 2026 as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026), the conference will encourage Balkan governments to sign a Declaration of Intent supporting volunteerism for all generations, with a strong emphasis on senior engagement.
