Burkina Faso has officially designated the Groupement d’Intérêt Public – Programme National de Volontariat au Burkina Faso (GIP-PNVB) as its National Focal Point for the International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026, marking a key step in the country’s engagement with the IVY 2026.

The appointment underscores Burkina Faso’s commitment to strengthening volunteerism as a catalyst for sustainable development and social cohesion. As the national focal point, GIP-PNVB will coordinate efforts to observe the IVY 2026.
Leading this effort is Toussaint Djouroumite Nestor NOUFE, Director General of GIP-PNVB, who will serve as the primary contact for collaboration and coordination.
