The Republic of Burundi has appointed Madame Venantie Nkurikiye as the national focal point for the International Year of Volunteers 2026 (IVY 2026). She serves as Responsable d'Action Coopération Décentralisée at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Development.

In this role, she will coordinate national efforts and promote volunteerism as a driver of sustainable development.
