Clean Up Campaign Soshanguve!
The Clean-Up Campaign is designed not only as a community service intervention, but as a living demonstration of volunteerism in action, grounding the programme in direct community impact before young participants carry those lived experiences.
Campaign Objectives
• Remove accumulated litter, general waste and illegally dumped materials from public open spaces, streets and stormwater drains in Block NN, Soshanguve.
• Mobilise and activate young volunteers from the Day 1 Dialogue as community champions.
• Engage Ward 29 residents in active environmental stewardship and waste separation at source practices.
• Conduct an on-site recycling education session, reinforcing the principles discussed during the Day 1 Dialogue.
• Document waste volumes collected as part of Portfolio of Evidence and IVY 2026 contribution reporting.
• Showcase an operational model of youth-led volunteerism for potential replication across other wards and provinces.
