Côte d’Ivoire has officially designated its National Focal Point for the International Year of Volunteers 2026, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening volunteerism as a driver of social development and civic engagement.

Mr. Tano Koffi Antonio has been appointed to this role. He currently serves as Deputy Director in Charge of Volunteer Reception and Deployment within the Direction du Volontariat, du Bénévolat et du Service National des Jeunes, under the Office du Service Civique National (OSCN). In this capacity, Mr. Tano brings extensive experience in coordinating volunteer programs, mobilizing young people, and building partnerships that enhance community impact nationwide.

The  National Focal Point will coordinate Côte d’Ivoire’s engagement with international partners, support the planning and implementation of national activities for 2026, and promote the values and contributions of volunteers across the country.

This appointment highlights Côte d’Ivoire’s determination to position volunteerism at the heart of sustainable development during the International Volunteer Year 2026.
