Creative methods of organizing research activities based on STEM education technology
Creative STEM Approaches to Preschool Inquiry
Inquiry activities in early childhood help children develop curiosity, logical thinking and independent problem-solving skills. STEM learning brings together science, technology, engineering and mathematics through experimentation, construction, observation and play, turning children’s curiosity into active exploration.
Oksana Panchenko, PhD, from Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, will present creative methods for organising preschool children’s inquiry activities through STEM learning. Drawing on teaching approaches and practical examples, she will explore how problem-based situations, experimentation, modelling and interdisciplinary tasks can develop children’s inquiry skills.
The webinar will examine how to organise STEM investigations in early childhood settings and use play-based, inquiry and digital resources to encourage children’s active engagement in learning. Participants will explore practical case studies and a selection of creative STEM ideas for incorporating experiments, design and construction tasks, and project-based activities into everyday teaching.
We invite early childhood educators, teachers, curriculum specialists, students in education programmes and everyone interested in introducing creative STEM approaches, developing preschool children’s inquiry skills and enriching teaching through hands-on learning to join the webinar.
The webinar is being organised within the scope of the International Volunteer Year (IVY). It is free of charge, and participants will receive certificates upon completion.
