As part of International Volunteer Year for Sustainable Development 2026 (IVY 2026 - UNGA Resolution 78/127), volunteers from Organisation Nationale de Lutte contre la Drogue et les Psychotropes (ONLD) conducted drug prevention and youth awareness campaigns in Nouakchott.

Motto: مجتمع واع .. مستقبل آمن / Aware Society, Safe Future

Objectives:
- Raise awareness on dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances among youth (SDG 3, 4)
- Promote healthy lifestyles and civic engagement (SDG 16, 11)
- Peer-to-peer education in public spaces

Activities:
- Field awareness campaigns under bridge and youth gathering areas
- Distribution of awareness materials
- Volunteer engagement as part of Watanouna Civic Service and LCOY Mauritania 2026
