Egypt has officially designated a national focal point for the International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting volunteerism and strengthening citizen engagement in sustainable development efforts.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has been appointed as the national focal point entity, with Ahmed Saada, CEO of the Civil Society Support Fund, serving as the focal person for IVY 2026 coordination in Egypt.

Through this appointment, Egypt joins the growing global network of countries observing the International Volunteer Year 2026, which aims to recognize the contributions of volunteers in the development of their communities. 

As the national focal point, the Ministry of Social Solidarity will help coordinate national activities and engagement opportunities related to IVY 2026, while fostering collaboration among government institutions, civil society organizations, and volunteer networks across the country.
