The EU Action Forum IVY 2026 Launch Event aims to bring together key EU stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners to reaffirm the EU’s commitment to volunteering rooted in EU values, thriving democracies, and citizen engagement. 

This event, which will ensure a strong European Union (EU) presence and visibility within IVY2026 from the outset, aims to: 

• Raise awareness at the EU level about IVY2026 and its global objectives.
• Gather key EU stakeholders at the start of IVY2026 to ensure an integrated European contribution.
• Highlight volunteering grounded in EU values as an essential component for thriving democracies and the achievement of the SDGs. 

The EU Action Forum IVY 2026 Launch Event offers a strategic opportunity to: 

• Reinforce volunteering as a cornerstone of democratic societies and shared European values.
• Reinstate the SDGs in EU policymaking through a high-profile, action-oriented discussion.
• Ensure that the EU’s voice, perspectives, and good practices are integrated into the IVY2026 global narrative and actions from the beginning. 

The target audience of the event is composed of Members of the European Parliament and other European Union institutions, including members of the College of Commissioners, as well as the IVY2026 National Focal Points from EU Member States, and relevant stakeholders in the field of volunteering, including CEV Board members. During the second part of the event, there will be the IVY2026 Action Forum Roundtable Discussion, where different sub-groups will continue to collaborate on different topics in the context of IVY2026 in Europe.
