The Government of The Gambia has appointed Mr. Fabba Jammeh, Director of Employment at the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE), as the country's National Focal Point for the International Volunteer Year 2026.

The appointment highlights The Gambia's commitment to advancing volunteerism and recognizing the contributions of volunteers to sustainable development and community resilience. As National Focal Point, Mr. Jammeh will help coordinate national engagement and collaboration around International Volunteer Year activities.
