Creating lasting local impact in environmental education depends not only on applying global standards but also on the voluntary participation of young people, schools, and local stakeholders. Transforming the contribution of different actors into a continuous cooperation structure strengthens the local impact of environmental volunteering.

Ayşe Betül Ferik, Social Media and Communication Officer at the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV), will discuss TÜRÇEV’s experience in environmental education and volunteering.

The webinar will explore participation and cooperation among young people, schools, and local stakeholders in environmental volunteering. It will also address the relationship between FEE’s international environmental education network and TÜRÇEV’s practices in Türkiye, focusing on how global standards are transferred into local implementation through programmes such as Blue Flag and Eco-Schools.
