Healthy Volunteering in Healthcare
Would you like to learn the right boundaries and safe models for volunteering in the field of health? Volunteering in healthcare requires a high level of responsibility, ethical sensitivity, and strong preparation. Understanding which roles volunteers can take on, what boundaries should be respected in communication with patients and their families, and how support can be provided in a sustainable way are among the most important issues in this field.
The Cystic Fibrosis Association (KIFDER) stands out as one of the key organisations that has long implemented volunteering in healthcare through a safe, ethical, and structured model. İlknur Görgün, President of the Association, will discuss roles and responsibilities in healthcare volunteering through examples such as hospital accompaniment, social support in elderly care, and volunteer contribution models in health screenings.
The webinar will also cover hygiene and safety principles, privacy, emotional resilience, volunteer training protocols, and internal support mechanisms through practical examples. In addition, participants will gain insight into good practices from health-focused volunteering projects in different countries.
Apply now to reserve your place. The webinar will be held via the ILA Talks mobile application as part of the International Year of Volunteers activities. The event is free of charge, and participants will receive Turkish-English certificates of participation at the end of the session.
