On 10 April, the inaugural meeting of the National Committee was held virtually. Representatives from ministries, volunteering organisers, networks, the economic sector, and other stakeholders had the opportunity to introduce themselves and become acquainted with the individuals behind the National Focal Point in Croatia.

Participants gained a deeper understanding of the International Volunteer Year 2026, including its origins, core concept, objectives, and details on collaboration with the United Nations Volunteers team. The initial programme, activity calendar, and current website were presented, where the general public can access further information on the National Focal Point, its responsibilities, past events and activities, as well as planned ones.

Finally, members of the National Focal Point outlined expectations for the National Committee, available support, and guidelines for communicating IVY 2026 activities across digital and other media channels.
