For young people who want to gain volunteering experience in Europe, the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is one of the most concrete and accessible international opportunities available. Choosing the right project, managing the application process effectively, and presenting your motivation in a strong and authentic way are among the most critical steps that shape your chances of being accepted.

Ahmet Abalı, Project Specialist at the Mersin University Office of International Relations and Projects, will explain the scope of the ESC programme, who can apply under which conditions, and how to create a profile, search for projects, and submit applications step by step through the European Youth Portal. The webinar will also cover how to prepare a strong application text, how to choose suitable projects, how to express motivation effectively, and what personal, professional, and intercultural gains participants can achieve through the programme, supported by practical insights and participant experiences.

This webinar offers a strong starting point for everyone who wants to experience international volunteering, develop new skills in Europe, and take part in an intercultural environment.
The event will be held as an online webinar within the framework of the 2026 International Year of Volunteers. It is open to everyone and completely free of charge, including a certificate of participation.
