National Volunteer Vision Declaration and IVY Celebration
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety held the 2025 National Volunteer Conference and the Vision Declaration for the 2026 International Volunteer Year.
The event was attended by about 500 participants, including volunteer organizations from across the country and award recipients, and also commemorated the 20th anniversary of Volunteer Day in Korea.
During the event, the Ministry presented a total of 231 awards to individuals, organizations, companies, and local governments that had devoted themselves to the community.
In celebration of the 2026 International Volunteer Year, the government also officially proclaimed its national vision for volunteering.
Under the vision of “K-Volunteering for Me, Us, and the Planet,” it outlined key priorities such as expanding recognition for volunteers, preventing suicide and reducing social isolation, responding to the climate crisis, and establishing a sustainable foundation for volunteer activities.
