Young volunteers can play an important role in spreading accurate information about HIV, challenging misconceptions, and preventing stigmatizing language. The power of peer-to-peer communication and youth volunteer networks can help preventive health awareness reach wider communities.

Birgül Yaylacı, Specialist Nurse at the Turkish Family Health and Planning Foundation (TAPV), will discuss HIV awareness activities carried out within the scope of World AIDS Day on December 1 and the role of young volunteers in these efforts.

The webinar will explore how accurate information about HIV can be shared, how common misconceptions can be corrected, and how young volunteers can take part in awareness activities. It will also address the importance of inclusive, rights-based, and non-judgmental communication in preventing stigmatizing language toward people living with HIV.
