The Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) collaborates annually with the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus to mark International Volunteer Day. As part of this long-standing tradition, a reception will be hosted at the Presidential Palace to honour the occasion as well as IVY2026.

The reception will be hosted by the President of the Republic of Cyprus and the First Lady at the Presidential Palace on 7 December 2026 at 18:00.
The event will also recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions to volunteerism through the presentation of awards to:
• Educational institutions receiving awards in the 21st competition of the “Youth and Volunteerism” Programme organised by the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) in 2026.
• Private sector companies receiving awards in the 11th Corporate Volunteerism and Voluntary Contribution competition, organised by the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) in 2026.

The reception will highlight the contribution of volunteers in society, and their important social legacy in promoting a culture of volunteerism, social solidarity and sustainable development in Cyprus, while celebrating the achievements of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development 2026.
