The Government of Rwanda has appointed Mr. Richard Kubana as the national focal point for the International Year of Volunteers 2026 (IVY 2026). He serves as Director General in charge of Community Mobilisation and Youth Volunteers at the Ministry of Local Government.

In this role, Mr. Kubana will lead coordination efforts, mobilize stakeholders, and promote volunteerism as a key driver of sustainable development.
