State of the World’s Volunteerism

How can the real impact of volunteering be measured, which indicators can guide policymakers and institutions, and how can volunteer contributions become more visible and easier to advocate for? This webinar offers a strong framework for everyone who wants to understand the impact of volunteering on individuals, communities, and public services through data and policy perspectives.

United Nations Volunteers (UNV) is one of the leading international reference points in this field, with its frameworks developed to recognise, strengthen, and measure volunteering at the global level. Dr. Tapiwa Kamuruko, Chief of Volunteer Advisory Services at UNV, and Emiliya Asadova, Evidence-Based Policy Specialist, will provide a comprehensive discussion on how volunteering can be assessed through both quantitative and qualitative methods in light of the 2026 State of the World’s Volunteerism Report.

We invite everyone who wants to understand volunteering through a data-driven lens, strengthen their advocacy capacity, and make volunteering more visible in policymaking processes to join this webinar.
The event will be held online within the framework of the 2026 International Year of Volunteers, with the support of TEMA. It is open to everyone and completely free of charge, including a certificate of participation.
