How are artificial intelligence and new technologies shaping the future of volunteering?

Emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, augmented reality, and blockchain are transforming not only the tools used in volunteering but also the ways people participate and create impact. From volunteer matching and crisis coordination to remote collaboration and transparent donation systems, many processes are now being redesigned through technology-based solutions.

Taha Aydoğmuş, Executive Board Member of Habitat Association, will explore how AI- and data-analytics-supported planning tools can optimise volunteer processes. The session will also address innovative models such as AR/VR-based training, robotics applications, and blockchain-enabled transparency and identity verification systems. In addition, the webinar will examine the effects of technology on inclusion, the risks of digital inequality, and current challenges related to data security and ethical responsibility.

We invite everyone who wants to understand how volunteering is evolving in an increasingly technology-driven world, discover new models of participation, and prepare for the future to join this webinar.

The event will be held as an online webinar within the framework of the 2026 International Year of Volunteers. It is open to everyone and is completely free, including a certificate of participation.
