As part of the national environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan," President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, together with environmental activists, planted a tree in the capital's Samal Park.
President of Kazakhstan then heard reports from the heads of responsible government agencies.

Mayor of Astana city, Zhenis Kassymbek reported to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the city's comprehensive improvements, public greening, and the creation of a comfortable and safe urban environment. He stated that this year, 173 urban locations (public and courtyard spaces) are planned to be transformed, with over 1.1 million green spaces (seedlings, shrubs, flowers, and trees) to be planted. One of the key projects is the development of Samal Park, which will become a new focal point for city residents. The park is designed as a multifunctional area for family, sports, and cultural leisure.

According to Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev, over the two years of the President's "Taza Kazakstan" initiative, 1,500 environmental events have been held across the country, collecting 2 million tons of waste and planting approximately 5.5 million trees. Approximately 6.5 million people, including 780,000 volunteers, participate in these events annually. According to the minister, from 2021 to 2025, 1,648.4 million seedlings were planted in forests across an area of over 1 million hectares. Over the past five years, 18.4 million trees have been planted in populated areas. In the next three years, 46 eco-territories are planned to be created across an area of 1,760,000 hectares.
During the event, Akim of the Turkestan Region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, and environmental volunteer Aida Makanbay spoke via videoconference from the Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve; Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region, Nariman Turegaliev, and environmental activist Nursultan Sarsenbayev, spoke from the Zhaiyk River embankment; Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov, and Chairman of the Board of the Ulba Metallurgical Plant, Sergey Bezhetsky; and Akim of the Pavlodar Region, Asain Baikhanov, and Head of the Pavlodar Regional Headquarters of "Zhasyl El," Rusana Sulaimonova, spoke from Bayanaul about their work as part of the nationwide environmental campaign.
In his speech, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recalled that the "Taza Kazakhstan" movement was launched two years ago.

"From time immemorial, the concept of cleanliness has been especially important in Kazakh society. Our people use the word "cleanliness" in a broad sense. That's why we describe an honest, decent, and sincere person as having a pure mind, a clear conscience, and a pure heart. Since ancient times, our ancestors lived in harmony with nature, considering caring for it a sacred duty. They instructed young people to cherish all living things and called on them to treat their native land with compassion. "If you see a spring, help it flow," goes the popular saying. The "Taza Kazakhstan" concept clearly confirms that today the concept of cleanliness is becoming part of our national identity and a fundamental value. Cleanliness is the mirror of a civilized society, an immutable principle of a state focused on progress." Any initiative founded on good intentions is sure to bear fruit, and "Taza Kazakhstan" is precisely such a unique initiative. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of millions of our caring compatriots, the project has grown into a nationwide movement," said the President.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to all participants of "Taza Kazakstan" and, above all, to the youth.

"Without a doubt, the younger generation is the main driving force behind this campaign, its foundation. Our young compatriots make a significant contribution to the common cause and exemplify high civic responsibility. Creative and constructive youth are participating in this important event today. Undoubtedly, the bright future of our country lies in the hands of strong-spirited, patriotic, and goal-oriented citizens like you. Ultimately, we have no other homeland but Kazakhstan. Everything we have and everything we cherish is embodied in our beloved Fatherland – the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, it is vital for us to ensure that our native country becomes progressive, safe, strong, and clean. It is important to understand this correctly. The main essence of the project is to protect nature, maintain cleanliness and order, raise a conscious generation, and shape a new national identity," the President emphasized.
