National Volunteering Committee - ILA Talks

Volunteering is no longer limited to physical spaces. Through digital platforms, task-matching systems, and online teamwork, volunteers can now make meaningful contributions from anywhere in the world. This webinar offers a comprehensive perspective for anyone who wants to understand how this new model works, which digital competencies it requires, and how impact can be created remotely.

Dr. Hatice Büber Kaya, Assistant Professor at Kırklareli University, will explore the core characteristics of digital volunteering through online platforms, virtual team communication, coordination processes, and examples of good practice from different countries. The session will also examine how digital volunteering ecosystems can be understood and improved through the perspectives of behavioural science and data.

We invite everyone who wants to better understand digital volunteering models, explore new ways of contributing online, and learn from inspiring practices in this field to join this webinar.
The event will be held as an online webinar within the framework of the 2026 International Year of Volunteers. It is open to everyone and completely free of charge, including a certificate of participation.
