In the fight against addiction, volunteers are not only individuals providing support; they are also active advocates who promote healthy lifestyles, raise awareness, and contribute to behavioural change. This webinar offers a comprehensive perspective for those who want to better understand the impact of volunteering in this field and transform it into a sustainable model of contribution.

Yeşilay stands out as one of Türkiye’s leading organisations with its well-established volunteer system in addiction prevention and healthy living advocacy. İhsan Değer, Volunteer Trainer at Yeşilay, will share his experience across a wide spectrum—from volunteer activities and volunteer-trainer models to promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering attitudes and behaviours against addiction.

The session will cover the structure of Yeşilay’s volunteering system, awareness-raising activities carried out by volunteers in the field, practices developed in collaboration with public institutions, and the individual and societal impact of volunteering, supported by concrete examples. The “Independence Mobilisation” approach and planned initiatives for 2026 will also be discussed.
We invite everyone who wants to take an active role in combating addiction, promote healthy living, and turn volunteering into a strong advocacy tool to join this webinar.
The event will be held as an online webinar within the framework of the 2026 International Year of Volunteers. It is open to everyone and is completely free, including a certificate of participation.
