Protecting rights within volunteering processes, clearly defining roles and responsibilities, and ensuring safe working conditions are the foundations of a sustainable volunteering culture. Approaches that prioritise the emotional, physical, and social well-being of volunteers are key to building ethical and strong volunteering relationships.
Muratcan Işıldak, President of the Youth Thought Institute, will address the core principles of a rights-based approach in volunteering, focusing on informed consent, role boundaries, insurance, risk management, and safe working environments. The session will also explore structural mechanisms that support, recognise, and empower volunteers to contribute within a framework of trust.

We invite everyone who wants to carry out volunteering activities in a more ethical, safe, and human-centred way to join this webinar.
The event will be held as an online webinar within the framework of the 2026 International Year of Volunteers. It is open to everyone and completely free of charge, including a certificate of participation.
