Young Caritas Forum 2026: Volunteering for a Sustainable Future

Young Caritas Forum 2026 is a two-day national gathering focused on youth participation, volunteering, solidarity, and sustainable communities. The event takes place in Litoměřice, Czech Republic, as part of the International Volunteer Year 2026 initiative.

The forum brings together young volunteers, educators, social workers, representatives of civil society, schools, Caritas organisations, and public institutions to explore how volunteering can strengthen social cohesion and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future.

The programme includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops, a World Café, and a participatory ideathon focused on creating new ideas for accessible and meaningful volunteering opportunities for young people. Topics include youth participation, community engagement, social inclusion, intergenerational solidarity, and the role of volunteering in democratic and resilient societies.

Young Caritas is the youth platform of the Caritas network in Europe, supporting young people’s participation, volunteering, and social engagement.
Caritas Czech Republic is one of the largest humanitarian and social organisations in the country, providing social services, humanitarian aid, education, and community support both in the Czech Republic and internationally.

The event is organised by Caritas Czech Republic in cooperation with the Diocese Caritas Litoměřice and the United Nations Information Centre in Prague.
