Equiearth Foundation Sierra Leone will mobilize and train youth volunteers to implement
climate change and environmental protection activities in schools and communities across
Bombali District, Sierra Leone.


The initiative will engage volunteers in:

i. Climate change awareness campaigns
ii. Community sanitation and cleaning exercises
iii. Tree planting activities
iv. Environmental education in schools
v. Waste management sensitization
vi. Formation and strengthening of school environmental clubs such as the “Little Green Champions Club”

The volunteers will work closely with schools, community leaders, teachers, youth groups, and
local authorities to promote environmental sustainability and active citizenship.

i. To promote volunteerism among young people in Sierra Leone
ii. To increase climate change awareness in schools and communities
iii. To encourage community participation in environmental protection
iv. To strengthen youth leadership and civic engagement

Volunteer Involvement
The project will engage youth volunteers from different communities and schools within
Bombali District.


Volunteers will:
i. Participate in training sessions on climate change and volunteer leadership
ii. Conduct awareness campaigns in schools and communities

iv. Support tree planting and environmental restoration activities
v. Facilitate environmental club activities in schools
