This resource presents the story and outcomes of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers 2026 project implemented in Şanlıurfa, Türkiye, in cooperation with ŞURKAV and the Governorship of Şanlıurfa. Bringing together international and local volunteers around Göbeklitepe and the wider Taş Tepeler landscape, the programme combined heritage conservation, intercultural exchange, archaeological learning, workshops and community engagement. The initiative demonstrates how volunteering can strengthen cultural heritage awareness, international cooperation and local participation.
