The Market for African Performing Arts in Abidjan (MASA) took place from April 11 to 18, 2026. Its objective was to promote African arts and culture while fostering the economic and social integration of young people through the performing arts.

The 2026 edition of MASA was held under the theme: “The Performing Arts: A Tool for Economic and Social Integration in Africa.”

On this occasion, the National Civic Service of Côte d'Ivoire mobilized three hundred (300) volunteers tasked with ensuring the reception and guidance of participants, supporting transportation and catering services, providing logistical support, assisting artists and officials, and supporting the various committees of the organizing team.

Through arts and culture, these volunteers contributed to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1: No Poverty.

This activity comes within the contribution of volunteers to the implementation of the initiatives launched by the Ivorian government under the observation of the IVY 2026
