Summary

  • The Volunteering in Brazil 2021 survey was conducted by the Datafolha Institute and comprised quantitative and qualitative data collection, including individual interviews and focus group discussions throughout different regions in Brazil. 

  • The objectives of this publication include the following: (i) to identify the relationship of volunteering with the Corporate Volunteering Programs, with the major events held, with the Sustainable Development Goals and also with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic; (ii) to reflect on the importance of volunteering for Brazil; (iii) to indicate trends and analyze changes that took place over the last two decades and to promote the theme and practices of volunteering; (iv) to recognize and celebrate the voluntary service performed by Brazilians.
