To address SDG 12, Banco Nacional de Costa Rica is aiming to ensure companies aligned with its value chain adopt sustainable practices through programmes such as its corporate volunteering and green small and medium-sized enterprises schemes, which encourage the adoption of good practices, the measurement of management impacts and responsible production and consumption. The bank has also implemented campaigns to promote the concept of financial and environmental responsibility among citizens in their communities.
